In addition, we use so-called tags, which are small code elements with the help of which we can measure the behavior of our users and the success of advertising activities. Depending on the type of cookies or tags, different data is collected and processed pseudonymized.

We use our own cookies as well as cookies from other providers (third-party cookies). The third party cookies are shown below in detail.

Functionality cookies are used to make the usability of our websites more user-friendly and to guarantee certain functionalities, e.g. the cross-page shopping cart display, in which you can see how many items are currently in your shopping cart and the storage of your login data so that you can access them again when you visit the site again You can access the data and settings you have already entered.

  1. Third-party cookie and tracking technologies used

Cloudfare:

We use Cloudflare from Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA) on this website to make our website faster and more secure. Cloudflare uses cookies and processes user data. Cloudflare, Inc. is an American company that provides a content delivery network and various security services. These services are located between the user and our hosting provider and act as Reverse proxy for websites. In the following, we will try to explain exactly what all this means.

A content delivery network (CDN), as provided by Cloudflare, is nothing more than a network of servers connected via the Internet. Cloudflare has distributed such servers all over the world to bring websites to your screen faster. Simply put, Cloudflare creates copies of our website and places them on their own servers. When you visit our website now, a load balancing system ensures that the major parts of our website are delivered by the server that can display our website to you as quickly as possible. The CDN significantly shortens the route of data transmission to your browser. Thus, the content of our website is delivered to you by Cloudflare not only from our hosting server, but from servers from all over the world. The use of Cloudflare is particularly helpful for users from abroad, since the page can be delivered from a server nearby. In addition to the fast delivery of websites, Cloudflare also offers various security services, such as DDoS protection or the web application firewall.

Data collected

Cloudflare generally only forwards data that is controlled by website operators. The content is therefore not determined by Cloudflare, but always by the website operator itself. In addition, Cloudflare may collect certain information about the use of our website and process data that we send or that have received instructions for Cloudflare. In most cases, Cloudflare receives data such as contact information, IP addresses, security fingerprints, DNS log data and performance data for websites that are derived from browser activity. For example, log data helps Cloudflare identify new threats. In this way, Cloudflare can guarantee a high level of security protection for our website. Cloudflare processes this data as part of the services in compliance with the applicable laws. Of course, this also includes the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). For security reasons, Cloudflare also uses a cookie. The cookie (__cfduid) is used to identify individual users behind a shared IP address and to apply security settings for each individual user. This cookie is very useful, for example, if you use our website from a location that contains a number of infected computers. However, if your computer is trustworthy, we can recognize this from the cookie. So you can surf through our website unhindered, despite infected PCs in the area. It is also important to know that this cookie does not store any personal data. This cookie is essential for the Cloudflare security functions and cannot be deactivated.

Purposes of data processing

We use Cloudflare to analyze the data traffic between users and our websites, for example to detect and ward off attacks on our services.

Legal basis

This serves to protect our legitimate interests in an optimal marketing of our offer, which predominate in the context of a balance of interests, in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. b GDPR.

We have concluded a corresponding order processing agreement with Cloudflare based on the GDPR

Storage duration and control options

Cloudflare stores your information primarily in the United States and the European Economic Area. Cloudflare can transfer and access the information described above from all over the world. In general, Cloudflare stores user-level data for domains in the Free, Pro and Business versions for less than 24 hours. For enterprise domains that have activated Cloudflare Logs (formerly Enterprise LogShare or ELS), the data can be stored for up to 7 days. However, if IP addresses trigger security warnings in Cloudflare, there may be exceptions to the storage period mentioned above.

Cloudflare only keeps data logs for as long as necessary and this data is also deleted within 24 hours in most cases. Cloudflare also does not store any personal data, such as your IP address. However, there is information that Cloudflare stores indefinitely as part of its permanent logs to improve Cloudflare Resolver's overall performance and identify any security risks. You can find out exactly which permanent logs are saved https://developers.cloudflare.com/1.1.1.1/commitment-to-privacy/privacy-policy/privacy-policy/ read up. All data that Cloudflare collects (temporarily or permanently) is cleaned of all personal data. Cloudflare also anonymizes all permanent logs.

In your privacy policy, Cloudflare states that you are not responsible for the content you receive. For example, if you ask Cloudflare whether you can update or delete your content, Cloudflare always refers to us as the website operator. You can also completely prevent the entire collection and processing of your data by Cloudflare by deactivating the execution of script code in your browser or by integrating a script blocker into your browser.

Cloudflare is an active participant in the EU-US Privacy Shield Framework, which regulates the correct and secure data transfer of personal data. More information can be found on https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt0000000GnZKAA0.

You can find more information on data protection at Cloudflare at https://www.cloudflare.com/de-de/privacypolicy/

Google:

Data collected:

Google Analytics: On our website we use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, based in Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google"). Google Analytics places cookies on your end device, which make it possible to evaluate your use of our website. For this purpose, Google collects data, for example, to clearly identify your browser, information about when and how often you have visited our website, how long you have been on our website and how you interacted with our website (more information can be found here here[http://www.google.de/policies/technologies/types/]).

We have added the code “get._anonymizeIP ();” to Google Analytics. This means that Google shortens your IP address and enables an anonymized evaluation. The IP addresses are shortened within the EU or the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. The data determined with the help of cookies is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Compliance with data protection standards and your rights is ensured by Google certification under the EU-US Privacy Shield. Google transmits data to third parties insofar as consent has been given, this is necessary for legal reasons or third parties process this data on behalf of Google.

Google remarketing and double click: We use Google Remarketing and Google Double Click. This technology uses cookies that evaluate how you use our website and make it possible to recognize your browser when you visit websites that belong to the Google advertising network. For this purpose, the Google Analytics tracking code uses so-called DoubleClick cookies in addition to Google Analytics cookies. These collect data on which third-party websites in the Google Display Network you have visited and which advertisements you have clicked on. In addition, data from first-party cookies (e.g. Google Analytics cookies) and third-party cookies (e.g. Google cookie for display requirements) are linked. This enables us to evaluate the display of advertisements and your interaction with these advertisements

Google AdWords Conversion Tracking: We use Google AdWords conversion tracking. With this technology, cookies are set when you interact with one of our advertisements, for example by clicking on them. Cookies are used to analyze what happens after you interact with an advertisement, e.g. whether you bought our product, called up the ad from a mobile phone, downloaded our app or subscribed to a newsletter

Google Tag Manager: Google Tag Manager is a solution with which we can manage so-called website tags via an interface (and thus integrate Google Analytics and other Google Marketing services in our online offer). The Tag Manager itself (which implements the tags) does not process any personal data. With regard to the processing of personal data, reference is made to the information on the respective Google services. You can find the usage guidelines of Google Tag Manager here: https://www.google.com/intl/de/tagmanager/use-policy.html

Google reCAPTCHA: We use the reCAPTCHA service from Google for some forms. Google collects certain data to determine whether a person or a machine is accessing our website, e.g. your IP address, your screen and window resolution, the language set in your browser, the time zone in which you are located, the user Browser agent and installed browser plug-ins. We have extended the service with the code “get._anonymizeIP ();”. This causes Google to shorten your IP address. You can read more about shortening the IP address in the Google Analytics explanation above.

Purposes of data processing:

Google Analytics: On our behalf, Google uses the data collected via Google Analytics to evaluate the use of our website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services related to website activity and internet usage.

Google remarketing and double click: We use this technology to present interest-based advertisements to you on other websites of the Google advertising network. The advertisements refer to content that you previously viewed on our website.

Google AdWords Conversion Tracking: We use this technology to improve our offerings.

yGoogle Tag Manager: We use this service to create, play and manage tags on our website.

Google reCAPTCHA: We use this service to differentiate whether an entry in one of our web forms is made by a human or improperly automated / machine and thus to protect our technical systems.

Legal basis:

We use the described Google products if you have consented to them. We obtain your consent when you visit our website via the cookie banner at the bottom of the website.

Google reCAPTCHA we use on the basis of legitimate interests (Art. 6 Para. 1 f GDPR). Our legitimate interest is to prevent the misuse of our forms and to protect our technical systems.

Storage duration and control options:

The data collected via the Google functions are saved and regularly deleted. You can prevent the storage of cookies by setting your browser accordingly. You can also prevent the collection and processing of data by Google by using the following link Download and install the available browser add-on [https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de].

Google Dynamic Remarketing and Double Click as well as Google AdWords Conversion Tracking: You can object to the storage of cookies and the associated data processing by using your Advertising settings [http://www.google.com/ads/preferences/html/opt-out.html] disable personalized advertising. You can use third-party cookies via the Deactivation website of the network advertising initiative [http://optout.networkadvertising.org/#/] deactivate. Alternatively, you can use DoubleClick cookies by installing a Browser plug-ins [https://www.google.com/settings/u/0/ads/plugin?hl=de] deactivate. This may limit the functionality of our website. More information can be found in the Google privacy policy. [LINK: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/].
